Luu Thuy – Kim Tien is a popular old piece of music which is specially performed by Vietnamese traditional music ensembles on occasions of folk festival.
Part 2: FOUR SACRED ANIMALS DANCE
Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle and Phoenix are the four sacred animals in Vietnamese belief; and the 2 of them – Dragon and unicorn are mythical creatures. The Dragon symbolizes strength, development and success; the unicorn symbolixes good luck, health and fullness; the turtle symbolizes longevity and the phoenix symbolizes beauty, love and happiness.
Part 3: THE BLUE DANUBE
Danube river flows through 10 European countries. The Blue Danube is not only the most famous Waltz of all time, but also message of hope and peace. Performed by Hoi An traditional music ensemble, The Blue Danube expresses the soul harmony between European and Asia for a friendly and peaceful world.
Part 4: Vietnamese classical opera – NGUYET CO TURNING INTO A FOX.
“ Ho Nguyet Co turning into a fox” is an extract of the Vietnamese classical opera named “Tiet Giao snatching the pearl”.
According to oriental legends, Nguyet Co once was a fox who had strived for self-improvement for a thousand year to become a human. However, when she fell into loving trapof the defeated general Tiet Giao, he took advantage of her trust to steal her sacred pearl. Without the pearl, she could no longer be a human. Finally, she turned back into a fox living an ever life of an animal.
Part 5: APSARA DANCE ( CHAM ROYAL DANCE).
Apsara dance, which is one of the traditional dances of the Cham people to dedicate to their Gods, reflects their spiritual life. Nowadays, the images of Apsara can be seen in every Cham tower in Central Viet Nam, especially at the world cultural heritage of Mỹ Sơn Sanctuary, Quang Nam Province.
Part 6: BÀI CHÒI PERFORMANCE.
Bài Chòi is a folk game which is usually played on occasions of tet holiday and festivals. It is a diverse combining music, poetry, acting,painting and literature. In December 2017, the art of Bài Chòi was recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
